Stubby and short these teeny tiny minimalist iP[od|hone] cables take cable management to extreme. Borderline unuseful but sometimes exactly what you need they occupy a rather narrow niche. In my case one such use is in my car where an iPod happens to be right next to the USB plug and an extra-short purpose built cable seems very appropriate.
