At this point you might be wondering what dual core is. To put in simple terms it is combining two processors into one. In other words you get the benefits of having two processor while having it all packaged nicely into a single unit. And two processors are better than one!
And without further ado I would like to welcome AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+. This is an entry level dual core processor that offers the best performance per price ratio; this is by far the best bang for your buck! It should be noted that unless you are one of the early adopters or just have lots of cash to play around with there is really no reason to get one of the more expensive models since they don't offer much more performance yet tend to carry a hefty price tag. The good news is that even this entry level offering lets you rip all the benefits of new technology at an attractive price point!
In case you were wondering, this CPU is at the top of my wish list. In fact, I'll be getting one this summer, but of course there is no reason why you can't own one of those today.
